Researching the Revision

I’m wandering through the town of Cave Creek again this week, taking photos as I go. This crazy little town and the mysterious legends that surround it inspired my last novel project, and I’m in the mood to retrace my steps. There was another encouraging nibble on the manuscript this month, but I still haven’t closed the deal. No agent yet. Time to reread those pages and make a decision:  should I revise this project AGAIN?

I don’t have the answer yet, but I’m open to the possibility. Just looking at this view has me dreaming up new scenes. Who knows? They might just end up in the book.

I love photos of signs. Especially these worn funky ones.
Good luck with your manuscript. I’d say be patient. You will have plenty of time for rewrites after you have an editor. lol

Cave Creek is such a funky, laid back town. I loved driving through last week when I went to a play out there. The waiting on your novel has got to be the most difficult part of this process. But keep on writing and dreaming and putting out your great prose.

  3. Windy, it sounds as if there are a lot of interesting places to explore — both in the physical location of Cave Creek and in the new scenes forming in your mind.

Or maybe write another and keep on submitting. Maybe right now at this time it’s just the wrong bait? Maybe if you re-submit later on you’ll hit the right school of fish? Okay…enough with the fishing analogies…lol.
